Carved by Hand

Natural Wood Grain

Useful Every Day

One of a Kind

Made Slowly, Held Often

Every wooden object begins with a piece of timber whose grain suggests its shape. Cut, carved, and smoothed by hand, our small carvings retain the subtle marks of their making. No two pieces feel quite the same.

Boards with a Place at the Table

Our chopping boards are made to be used: for preparing vegetables, slicing bread, or serving something simple. Careful shaping gives each board a comfortable edge and a smooth surface, while the wood’s natural pattern makes it a piece you’ll enjoy leaving out.

Wood, Grain & Finish

Materials Chosen for Everyday Life

Distinctive Grain

Each board and carving displays the lines, knots, and colour variations of the wood it came from.

Solid Wood

We shape solid timber into sturdy pieces intended to be handled and enjoyed regularly.

Thoughtful Selection

We choose wood for its character and suitability to the object, rather than trying to make every piece identical.

Smooth Surfaces

Hand-sanded surfaces bring out the grain and feel comfortable in your hands.

Practical Boards

Durable wooden surfaces make our boards useful for food preparation and relaxed serving.

Natural Variation

Changes in tone and grain give every finished piece an identity of its own.

Simple Finishes

A carefully applied finish enhances the wood’s warmth without hiding its natural character.

Made to Be Cared For

Gentle washing, thorough drying, and occasional oiling help wooden pieces stay ready for daily use.

How Each Piece Takes Shape

Step 1

First, we choose natural wood for its grain and strength, then cut and shape it for its intended use.

Step 2

Next, each board or small object is carved by hand, allowing the wood’s contours to guide the details.

Step 3

Finally, we smooth the surfaces, apply a food-safe finish where needed, and prepare each piece for everyday use.

Useful Pieces, Naturally Distinct

Chopping Boards

Sturdy wooden boards provide a dependable surface for chopping vegetables, slicing bread, and preparing daily meals.

Serving Boards

Bring cheese, bread, or tapas straight to the table on a hand-finished board that makes sharing feel easy.

Hand-Carved Objects

Small wooden pieces add a practical place for everyday essentials while bringing warm, tactile detail to a shelf or table.

“The grain sets the pattern, the carving leaves its mark, and every small variation makes a piece its own.”

Keep the character, care for the craft

Caring for Your Wooden Pieces

Wash chopping boards and other food-safe wooden pieces by hand with a little mild soap and warm water, then dry them promptly with a clean cloth. Avoid soaking them or putting them in the dishwasher: prolonged moisture and heat can cause natural wood to warp or crack.

Every so often, rub a thin layer of food-safe mineral oil into a clean, dry board to help it resist drying out. Let the oil absorb, then wipe away any excess. Keep carved objects away from radiators and prolonged direct sunlight, and dust their details gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Use a wooden board for everyday preparation, and clean it thoroughly after contact with raw foods. Small variations in grain, colour and hand-carved marks are part of each piece’s individual character; with simple care, they can remain a pleasure to use and display for years.
